“Good Morning America, ” the top-rated ABC morning show with hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan, will be broadcasting live from Philadelphia starting at 7 a.m. on June 13. We reported that this weekend, but now we have more details to share.
There will be a host of guest appearances throughout the program. Joining the crew will be the legendary Patti LaBelle, who will be performing during the broadcast. Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty is also scheduled to make an appearance, as well as Mayor Jim Kenney and Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders, according to the Philly Voice.
Tickets for the taping are free. You can get yours at this link. The taping will go on rain or shine… and chances are it’ll be decidedly wet. The forecast for June 13 has a 94 percent chance of rain around 8 a.m. in Philadelphia. While the show doesn’t start broadcasting until 7 a.m., festivities start at 6 a.m.

“We chose Philadelphia in part because we want to hold our big Father’s Day show there because we learned about one very special dad whose generosity to the community there knows no limits, and we cannot wait for you to meet him, ” said Roberts in a video as she teased the show’s Philadelphia visit.
